💡 If Input Volume stays at 0%:

• Close tabs using Microphone: In your screenshot, Windows shows "Gmail — Currently in use". If another tab or app (Google Meet, Gmail call, Zoom) is using the microphone, close it or leave the call so Chrome can access your microphone.
• Windows Sound Settings Input Volume: Open Windows Settings → System → Sound → under Input, check your microphone volume slider is at 80%–100% and click "Start test" in Windows to verify sound waves.
• Check Chrome's Default Mic: Open a new tab and paste: chrome://settings/content/microphone → ensure the correct physical microphone is selected as default (not Stereo Mix or an unplugged headset).
• Physical Mute Key: Check your laptop keyboard for an Fn + F4 or microphone mute key with an orange LED light.
